An Alternative Oath
Challenge the Oath supporter, Tony Benn told us:
I would favour a declaration along these lines to replace the Oath:
"I solemnly declare and affirm that in my capacity as.................. I will work honestly and conscientously and to the best of my ability to discharge the responsibilities which I have and do so without fear or favour in accordance with my convictions"
